What to Expect

Visiting a new church can be a bit intimidating. At First Baptist Church, we try and make the experience as painless as possible.  Whether you're coming alone, or with family or friends, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable as you experience the excitement at First!

Worship

When you visit First Baptist, you'll find friendly people from all walks of life and backgrounds who are seeking to know God more intimately and desires an experience of true worship. Our Pastor and staff work hard to make sure we create an atmosphere that focuses on God and allows you to connect with Him. Charles Redmond, our senior pastor, presents messages that are biblically based and practically relevant. Without question, you'll be inspired and motivated.

Our Sunday morning services are identical and offer a blended style of worship.  We meet on Sunday evenings at 6:30 pm and our assitant pastor, Jon Redmond preaches God's Word straight from his heart.

First Baptist Church is the place to be during the week as we have a Bible Luncheon on Tuesdays and a mid week worship service.  Check out our worship schedule for more information.

Small Group Bible Study

We believe everyone should be involved in a Small Group Bible Study.  Our greeters at our Welcome Centers are ready to assist you in finding a Small Group.  Your child or teenager will have activities of their own during this time. Adult Small Groups are selected by age, life stage, and the time that corresponds with the worship service you like to attend. Home fellowships are also available if you prefer this format.

Take a look at what you can expect, based on what our visitors have said when they visit First Baptist Church.
  • “I noticed how friendly everyone was from the time I pulled into a parking place to the time I left."

  • “I liked that the guy on stage didn’t scream at me while he was teaching.  The message was actually practical, relevant, and encouraging to my everyday life!"

  • “I didn’t leave church feeling guilty."

  • “I love it that I can wear comfortable clothes to church.  There is definitely no dress code required."

  • “My children love it so much that they actually bring me to church sometimes."
